Det bliver en rocket aften med amerikanske The Fall of Troy som blander rock, prog, post hardcore og punk rock. Det bliver deres første show i København siden Vega i 2016. Særlige gæster denne aften bliver noise rock duoen '68.
The Fall of Troy:
The Fall of Troy formed in Mukilteo, WA in 2002. Comprised of guitarist Thomas Erak, drummer Andrew Forsman, and various bass players, the band has released 6 albums since 2003 and had only one break-up and reunion (despite band members threatening it on a daily basis at times). Their songs are "characterized by a technical, intricate style, unorthodox song structures" and the band puts on "energetic live performances" according to Wikipedia. All this means is that if you are looking for a weird, good time, go see The Fall of Troy. Or if you want to hear that one song from Guitar Hero III.
After a long hiatus, The Fall of Troy are back with a new full-length album, entitled Mukiltearth. Recorded between 2016 and 2019, the album contains the earliest songs written by the band (when they were called The 30 Years War) and the last songs written by the original lineup. Mukiltearth is about the experiences we have that are singular but shared: first love and last loss, sunrise and sunset, the beginning and the end. Mukiltearth highlights the joy and freedom of youth, and the reality and responsibility of adulthood.
Split between two halves, the first side of the album contains re-recordings of songs written by the band when they were in high school in their hometown of Mukilteo, Washington. In these songs, the hope and unlimited possibility of the teen years underlie every twisting guitar line and triumphant chorus.
The second side of the album jumps ahead 15 years, through addiction, deaths of friends and family, break-ups both in the band and personally, and the eventual reformation of the group, to a set of four songs written in reverse from the band's usual method; drums were written and recorded first, followed by bass and then guitar and vocals. A wariness, frustration, and disbelief at the state of the self and the world pervade these songs, but the album ends on a note of redemption with the knowledge that all of the experience can lead to a better future.

Josh Scogin kickstarted his small band with the big sound in 2013, naming the two-man outfit he modestly undersells as “a little rock, a little blues, a little hardcore” after his father’s old Camaro. And there’s a muscle car-sized rumble beneath the hood of what the Atlanta, Georgia native and his percussive partner-in-crime, Nikko Yamada, unleash with an array of guitar, bass, drums, keys, and pedals, careening between swinging barnburners, wild haymakers, and moody atmosphere.
The passion, the hunger, the good humor, it all connects with diverse crowds. Deliciously stripped down and vibrant, ’68 excels in intimate environments, to be sure, but is no less unignorable on giant festival stages or on the road with Bring Me The Horizon, Stone Sour, Beartooth, Avatar, August Burns Red, The Amity Affliction, and Underoath, where they’ve earned new converts every day.
