Spanning everything from artpop to neojazz, instrumental rock with noise jazz and dungeon synth be sure to deep dive into our program and find the show for you, we got everything from dark journeys to dancing grooves.
30/01: Finom [US] + Support: Agnes Ea - Art pop
About: Formed in 2014, they hail from Chicago's improvisational and experimental music scene. their instrumental style amalgamates the aggressive and the meditative, sometimes manifesting in shimmeringly hypnotic 2-minute bangers and other times coming across in the form of 7-minute stretches of moody atmospherics, wafting guitars and piercing feedback. Agnes Ea was named an “Artpop comet” by Soundvenue when she released her debut EP Intet forsvind in March 2024. She writes Danish-language songs about friendships, nature, love, and growing up in a time of crisis.

01/02: Quest Master + Special Guests: Offermose + Taagebue - Dungeon Synth
About: Quest Master is an Australian project that burst onto the 'dungeon synth' scene in 2017. Known for its nostalgic soundscapes reminiscent of 90s RPGs, the project uses classic digital tones from Yamaha and Casio keyboards. Offermose channels the liquid light of a million souls. Casting dark repetitive spells, summoning long forgotten apparitions from the ever-flowing mist of eternity. Taagebue´s long spiraling compositions unfold with soaring melodies and an ethereal sound. A steady rhythm ensures an energetic expression, which keeps a determined flow towards ambitious conclusions. The project presents itself with references to an esoteric Danish folklore, but adding to it with poetic flair.

06/02: LũpḁGangGang Quartet [BE] + Support: ELJO - Indie Jazz / Electro Jazz
About: Belgian LũpḁGangGang Quartet has won several awards in their home country for their irresistible mix of jazz, funk, rock and prog with South American influences. In the borderland between acoustic and electronic, ELJO creates a sound universe with elements from both modern Nordic jazz and minimalist electronic music.

07/02: Xiu Xiu [US] + Support: Kee Avil [CA] // SOLD OUT - Avant Art Rock
About: Noise pop experimentalists Xiu Xiu are back doing what they do best: writing a genuinely sticky, well-constructed tune and subsequently running it through a meat grinder. Kee Avil´s has been immersed in the exploration of distinctive compositional architectures, expanding her sonic palette with increasing and intensive detail, where twitchy, finely wrought postpunk electro-industrial avant-pop songs are meticulously assembled to resemble disassembly.

About: Clothing Club is a fresh addition to the modern Danish jazz scene, inducing head nods, smiles, and a sense of presence in the moment. It's vibrant instrumental hip-hop/jazz infused with a dash of house, combining the Aarhus jazz vibe with the dance floor energy of Berlin clubs. Viktoria Søndergaard is an award-winning vibraphonist and composer who takes chances and makes a personal mark. Viktoria has played with, among others: Marilyn Mazur, DR's Bigband, Marc Ducret, Kasper Tranberg, AC, Emil De Waal, Gustaf Ljunggren, Siv Øyunn, Torben Snekkestad, Jakob Dinesen, Jakob Buchanan, Karmen Rõivassepp, Tivoli's ensemble and many more.

About: We look forward to welcoming OTOOTO back at Stengade, last time was completely sold out so don´t sleep on this one. Comprising some of Denmark's most prominent young musicians, Copenhagen's groundbreaking neo-jazz quintet OTOOTO refers to their innovative blend of jazz tradition and modern indie-pop as 'homeshake meets jazz messengers'. Blåly is a young trio motivated by the transformative powers of music, with a sound rooted in collaboration and community. Combining gentle lyrical melodies and colorful melancholic harmony, Blåly perform and interpret each piece with a mature and textural sound palette, drawing on elements of musical poetry, jazz, folk, Nordic and Classical traditions.

About: An instrumental desert journey when A Night In The Nordic Desert which consists of Karambolage - Nake - Lyzaar hits Stengade. Karambolage is a carambola of melodic post- rock and riff-driven desert-rock, prog-rock and challenging noise-jazz. Lyzaar, an instrumental rock band, offers a journey into the atmospheric, massive and raw. Their music, a sonic symphony, oscillates between colorful soundscapes that could serve as the soundtrack to your inner movie. NAKE plays instrumental, progressive music steeped in cinematic grandeur.

21/02: Sunbörn + Support: Elektrisk Ål - Tropical Jazzy Horns / Funky tropical latinamerica cumbia
About: Sunbörn (previosly known as The KutiMangoes ) moves elegantly through the boundaries of jazz, fusion and global music – and encompasses both acoustic, hand-played equilibrium, jazzy arrangements and modern electronic sounds. Elektrisk Ål is a Danish/Chilean quartet who fuses different styles with a strong connection to tropical Latin American music. At the same time, they draw inspiration from funk and jazz, which gives their music swinging and wild grooves that are also mixed with psychedelics, creating an exciting and eclectic soundscape.
