Homesickness:
Homesickness, a septet based in Copenhagen, crafts experimental chamber-folk music led by singer, guitarist, and lyricist Malthe Junge. The band has garnered significant acclaim, praised for their "gorgeous and wild" sound and "stunning blend of jazz, post-rock, and folk." In a trust-based and compassionate musical space, the group creates a varied sonic landscape, noted for their rich instrumentation - such as violin, cello, woodwinds and bells—elaborate arrangements, and deeply personal lyrical themes.

Having just released their second album, Anamnesis, on March 21, 2025, via Pink Cotton Candy Records. The album features a unique blend of inspiration from the late '60s/early '70s Laurel Canyon folk scene, the mystical elements of British folk, “Laughing Stock”-era Talk Talk, and contemporary experimental avant-folk.

“Anamnesis” consists of ten compositions that blend spirited ambient flute and string improvisations, ghostly field recordings, haunting low-key singer-songwriter folk, vibrant orchestrated folk-rock, and sudden, unexpected avant-garde outbursts.
