Det bliver en aften i jazzens tegn når Antonio Dayyani afholder release fest på Stengade til november.

Antonio Dayyani:
In a blend of crystal-clear, Nordic melancholy and dusty Americana, Antonio Dayyani invites you into his unorthodox jazz universe filled with stories of melodies and delicate sound-textures.

Antonio Dayyani (2000) is a young drummer and composer from Aarhus, Denmark, who's already been highly acclaimed by radio-hosts and criHcs for his ability to create music in a completely personal and unique style, which was first revealed on his debut “Herfra kan det kun gå to veje” (2022), which received great air-Hme on naHonal Danish Radio and was featured on the top-10-list of that year’s jazz albums by Jazznyt .

In September 2024, he will be ready with his second studio-album “Trop op” (translated: “Step up”) and has in the meanHme entered into a promising collaboraHon with Copenhagen-based April Records, who’ve built an incredible roster of Danish jazzar Hsts such as LiXle North, Nana Rashid, Kresten Osgood, Rasmus Sørensen, & OTOOTO.
This album is an encouragement to “step up” for one another and to share yourself with the world. Antonio says as follows about the album-Htle:
“We’re living in a Hme of increasing awareness of our mental health, which of course is a very good thing. But I think we tend to someHmes look too much inwards and forget to ‘step up’ for one another in the communiHes that surround us, which, in my opinion, in the end will always be the greatest joy and lifeboat for all of us.”
