Linn Koch-Emmery:
If you listen to Linn Koch-Emmery's music, you feel everything. An inner contradiction of both confidence and vulnerability is heard through raw indie rock creations, an external reflection of her inner world and a place of complete safety and surrender.

"Performing or writing music has always been where I felt most at peace and at home with myself," reveals Linn.

At the age of 13, she recruited her twin sister Lea and two friends into her band - one of whom happened to be Josefine Jonsson, now the bassist in the psychedelic surf rock band Los Bitchos. Lea then went on to start the indie rock quartet Kid Wave (Heavenly Recordings). Lea and Josefine moved to London after high school, and the band split up.

In 2017, Linn started her solo career. Making a name for herself with guitar-centric, indie rock gems, she steadily expanded her repertoire. The 2018 EP Waves included the popular song "Don't Sleep on My Luv," but it was her debut album, 2021's Being the Girl, that established Linn as a gifted storyteller, her self-effacing lyrical style and biting choruses home to many. The acclaimed album was nominated for a Grammy, and each track generated hundreds of thousands of streams. Linn's success has seen her tour Germany, the US, the UK and Mexico, including opening for Liam Gallagher, longtime friends Los Bitchos and gigs at festivals such as Roskilde, Bestival, Way Out West and Sommer Am See.

After the release of the single "Falling Down" in 2022, Linn focused on her second album. Working closely with The Vaccines Pete Robertson (Beabadobee, Clairo, Orla Gartland) for more than a year, the new project symbolizes a new era for Linn Koch-Emmery. She soon found a symbiotic relationship with Robertson who encouraged her to explore more of her vulnerability and emotions.

The result of the last year and a half of cathartic excavation is an enchantingly thoughtful and modern indie rock record. Meticulously produced and refined, the hazy soundscapes and echo-soaked vocals are instantly recognizable as Linn, but each track on the album - slated for release in May 2024 - keeps you guessing with its versatility. It's a record that crosses topics like meaning - and fearing the lack of it - family wounds and a great fondness for rock music.

For those who like bands and artists like Alvvays, Soccer Mommy and Snail Mail, the first taste from the record, "Ebay Armour", speaks volumes for the subsequent tone of the album. "Rock'n'Roll" is reminiscent of early Wolf Alice, but still feels uniquely Linn Koch-Emmery. From another direction, "Colombian Embassy" comes in as a captivating story about dating with one foot in the door and, the title track, "Borderline Iconic" is an energetic reflection on a life marked by depression and peaks of joy.
